Elijah 365- The final post!

At last, we have made it to the final week of E Step's year long journey in life.  I cannot believe that one year ago today, I was lying in an operating room waiting to see my baby for the first time.  

We have had a wonderful week, full of visitors and even crossing a new milestone.  This week, E Step took his very first wobbly steps.  He's not fully walking yet, but he has put one foot in front of the other for about two steps a handful of times.  He also got to have his first cupcake for his birthday, and got to go on his first geocache adventure. 

Day 358- Sept 2 Happy boy on a walk/hike with Oba

What a year we have had.  E Step is a wonderful boy, who is developing quite the personality.  It has been a very difficult year for me in many ways, but I am so glad to have had the privilege to stay at home and raise these boys.  Having two under two is not an easy task, but I am so happy this is the way we did it.  E Step and Z Step are growing to really like each other, and even play side by side now.  E Step has given me quite the year between feedings and changing diapers we have had a lot of fun.  I look forward to the rest of the adventures we will surely have with these boys.  I love these boys more then I think they will ever know.

Elijah 365 part 50

Poor E Step has been sick for most of the week, so we have stayed home almost all week.  Luckily, by the end of the week he started getting better just in time for another visit from Oba.  E Step is also getting even closer to walking.  He keeps standing even longer and is seriously thinking about walking. It's hard to believe an entire year has almost passed.  So much can happen in one year!

Day 353- Aug 26.  My poor sick boy

Day 354- Aug 27.  Still sick watching me put the humidifier on 

Day 355- Aug 28.  Still sick having a snack

Day 356- Aug 29.  Feeling a little better at the park.  This was seconds before shoving a handful of wood chips in his mouth.  

Day 357- Aug 30.  Getting ready for bed.  

Day 358- Aug 31.  Oba came to visit!

Day 359- Sept 1.  The boys in front of their new home at the Battle of Fredericksburg.  

Elijah 365- Part 49

Is there really only 3 weeks left of our second 365 journey?  The past month has really flown by!  Having a 1 year old will truly be bittersweet.  While I am sad to see my young baby become a toddler, I am very excited for the landmark we are about to cross.  I will be slowly weaning E Step very soon, something I am very excited about.
This week started out with Daddy Step's birthday and and included a visit from some old friends.  The weekend brought hiking, farmer's markets, and a car wash outside.  It was a great week that seemed to fly by.  E Step has enjoyed all the fun and adventure.

Day 346- Aug 19.  Out for Daddy's birthday at hibachi

Day 347- Aug 20.  Ready for some breakfast Mom!

Day 348- Aug 21.  So close to walking!

Day 349- Aug 22.  Ready to go up for bed!

Day 350- Aug 23.  Just a little something on your face there E Step

Day 351- Aug 24.  Hiking with the family.  E Step gets the best seat in the house!

Day 352- Aug 25.  Playing outside in the sprinkler while having a car wash.

Elijah 365- part 48

E Step has been spoiled rotten since moving to the states.  The family is so much closer now, and have the chance to come down and love on him and his big brother.  This week was no exception to that, as his Baba and Auntie came down to visit.  We went to a winery, downtown Fredericksburg, and had loads of fun.  No walking yet, but I can tell he's getting close.  He's also learning to share, as his big brother keeps stealing all his toys!

Elijah 365- part 47

What a week.  Mommy Step has not had the greatest week, and I'm happy to report it has not interfered with the happiness and learning of my boys.  But boy was I exhausted!  Luckily, my week started rough and ended great.  

This week was chock full of fun.  Between trips to the gym with a new friend, a family fun day with D Step's work, our FIRST babysitter, and a family hike, E Step had a great time.  

I was very nervous about leaving the boys with their first sitter this weekend, but it ended up workout out ok.  Even if I was worried the entire concert!  

E Step is still a Mama's boy, and has to be held the moment he sees me.  He's not walking yet, but is standing unsupported more and more each day.  He looks like he's surfing when he does it.  It's hilarious.  He is quite the climber lately, and I've caught him climbing on a kid table in the play room on numerous occasions.  

E Step turned 11 months old this week.  Can you believe he's almost 1?  That means that this project will be coming to an end.  Whatever will I blog about?  Don't worry.  I've got a few things up my sleeve!  

Day 332- Aug 5.  Playing Peek a boo!

Day 334- Aug 7.  Playing some music for Mommy

Day 335- Aug 8.  Tubby time fun

Day 336- Aug 9.  Developing some bad habits

Elijah 365- part 46

This week we have kept it simple around here.  Mornings have been spent at the gym and the library for story time.  E Step is keeping me busy always wanting to be held, and I'm beginning to get anxious about him walking soon.  He has been quite the piggy, and doesn't seem to stop at this point.  My grocery bills are going to skyrocket.  Boys.  In good news though- E Step has begun saying "Mama!"  

Day 325- July 29.  Piggy at breakfast

Day 326- July 30.  Ready for a tubby!

Day 327- July 31.  He loves throwing his arms up while being fed.  

Day 328- August 1.  My view most days.  

Day 329- Aug 2.  Ready for breakfast again.  Seriously he does not stop eating.  

Day 330- Aug 3.  Best part of going to Costco is the boxes.  

Day 331- Aug 4.  At mini golf with the family

Elijah 365 Part 45

What a week we've had.  Daddy Step was away for work this week in North Carolina so my hands were quite full.  E Step is still very clingy to me and wants to be constantly held.  Big brother is on a nap strike so I'm exhausted.  I need a vacation!  We made the best of our time though, and spent a lot of time running, at story time, and at the playground.  E Step seems to love going to story time and watching everyone sing and dance and play music.  We will be returning very soon.  

Day 318- July 22. Being fed by big brother

Day 321- July 25.  Celebrating Christmas in July outside with brother

Day 322- July 26.  Yes that's a heart stamp on his head.  We were having craft time

Day 323- July 27.  He never slept in a swing before and of course fell asleep in this one at the gym!

Day 324- July 28.  Ready for bedtime!
